Preface

This book was written by an ordinary LDS homemaker who saw a need and decided to do something to fill it.

Whilst there is a wealth of literature on home storage and production available from American sources there has so far been no equivalent to meet the needs of Saints in the British Isles.

This publication has been produced to fill that gap.  The intention has been to make it brief  enough to be used easily and detailed enough to make it unnecessary for the average family to buy many other books.

May you gain as much satisfaction from building and maintaining your storage as I have.

Pauline Doggett Smith
